This Easter, we’re honouring the power of pause. This Easter, we’re honouring the power of pause.
Whether you celebrate Easter or simply value this moment of renewal, today is a reminder that rest isn’t a reward — it’s part of the cycle.
Healthy teams don’t just perform — they restore. Great leadership includes knowing when to slow down, step back, and allow room for recovery — for yourself, and for your people.

From all of us at SWL:
✨ May this day bring you clarity, calm, and a renewed sense of purpose.
📌 We’ll be back after Easter — recharged and ready to support your workplace strategy.

Happy Easter! 🐰

Unplug. You’ve earned it. Even remote work needs Unplug. You’ve earned it.
Even remote work needs real rest.

Let this be your reminder:
You don’t have to “earn” exhaustion to deserve a break.

📌 Whether you’re leading a team or logging in solo —
Start the week by respecting your limits.

✨ SWL Tip:
Healthy teams don’t just perform — they pause.

Adopted on April 17, 1982, the Charter affirms the Adopted on April 17, 1982, the Charter affirms the rights and freedoms of every person in Canada. It enshrines principles that are essential to a just and democratic society: freedom of expression, equality before the law, the right to a fair trial, and the protection of fundamental rights. These are not abstract legal ideas in Canada. They are real protections that affect the lives of Canadians every day.
As a lawyer in this country, I have had the privilege of studying the Charter, and still, after all of these years, when I have occasion to read this document, I marvel at the ingenuity, care, and privilege we have as Canadians to have the rights and freedoms enshrined therein. We are also fortunate to have courts that give these rights and freedoms life and meaning in our society, to have an interpretation of our constitution that evolves as a living tree.
Law Day is a moment to reflect not only on the strength of our legal system, but also on the responsibility we all share to protect and advance it. The rule of law does not sustain itself. It relies on judges, lawyers, and lawmakers, but mostly citizens, to uphold it with integrity and courage.
This year, as we mark Law Day in Canada, we do so with a keen awareness of what is unfolding across the border in the United States. It is a difficult and historic time for our American neighbours—one that raises profound questions about the rule of law, constitutional principles, democratic accountability, and the resilience of institutions.
The United States has long been a global symbol of constitutionalism and individual liberty. The strength of its legal system has influenced many others around the world. We hope that this moment in the United States serves as a reminder of how vital it is to uphold our own rule of law, to safeguard our own democratic institutions, and to ensure that no one is above the law.
Law Day invites us to consider that in times of stability and in times of stress, the true test of a democratic system is whether it can protect the rights of all, especially when doing so is most difficult.

Feeling stuck between remote, office or hybrid? Y Feeling stuck between remote, office or hybrid?
You're not alone — many leaders worry about:
🔹 “What if we choose the wrong model?”
🔹 “How do we stay fair to all roles?”
🔹 “Will flexibility hurt performance or loyalty?”

📉 Rigid policies cost more than just engagement — they risk compliance, retention, and even your team’s mental health.
That’s where we step in.

SWL helps you decode the data, map performance by task type, and design workplace models that work — for your people and your bottom line.

🛑 22% of remote workers didn’t take any vacat 🛑 22% of remote workers didn’t take any vacation last year.
Not because they didn’t want to — but because no one made it safe to rest.
The message isn’t always explicit, but it’s loud:
“Taking time off means you’re not committed.”
So they stay. Online. Tired. Quietly quitting.
📌 Rest isn’t a luxury. It’s your retention strategy.
At SWL, we support HR teams and employers to:
🔹 Build fair and transparent leave policies
🔹 Remove the guilt from time off
🔹 Keep people healthy — and legally protected
📣 Want to retain your top talent? Start with rest.
 Let’s talk.
